About Us
Ort Braude College was founded in 1988 in Karmiel by the Ort network with the aim of establishing a unique institution of higher education in the Galilee, specializing in training professionals for knowledge-intensive industries. The college campus is located in a breathtaking Galilean area. The campus, with its buildings, infrastructure, artworks, and lawns, is a pearl in the heart of the Galilee.
The college provides students with advanced technological education, 21st-century skills, and qualifications in professions required by the Israeli industry. Over the years, the college has grown to become one of the leading technological colleges. Its graduates are in high demand and find jobs in the industry that allow them to utilize the extensive knowledge they have acquired.
On its way to realizing its vision of innovation, the college offers a variety of study tracks:
- Practical Engineers Track supervised by the Ministry of Labor and Welfare (Mahat)
- Unique Practical Engineers Track in collaboration with the industry and guaranteed job placement
- Technological Reserves Tracks: In striving for excellence and training the next generation, the college offers unique tracks for students before military service (grades 13, 14). This reserve track is supervised by the Ministry of Education.
- Vocational Training in the Certificate Studies Unit: This unit offers courses and workshops according to the demands of the business sector, industry, the public sector, and the general public.
Alongside the values of innovation and progress, the college emphasizes a high level of teaching while providing personal attention to students. The college campus offers a high level of academic services and a vibrant student life. The campus is accessible to all visitors, well-maintained, and full of ornamental trees, flowers, quiet seating areas, and two open-air amphitheaters.
The college has a dedicated engineering library, an art gallery, a synagogue, advanced classrooms, laboratories, seminar rooms, and a 420-seat auditorium, a cafeteria and restaurant, shops, computerized and equipped welfare areas for the benefit of the students, comfortable dorms located inside the campus, and allowing direct access for residents to the teaching buildings.
A new innovation center is currently being built at the college that will allow students to enjoy, produce, and express their best skills using the most advanced technological equipment.
