Albania Kick Off Meeting 

During 1-3 of May, we gathered in Albania  for BIG ART kick off meeting due to  the winning of the project proposal for the development of augmented reality capabilities in combination with soft skills in technological education in the European Union grant.

At the meeting were present:

Dr. Dimitris E.Kariakos – the director of S.T.E.M AIGALEO technological college in Greece , who will manage and integrate the project vis-à-vis the European Union, and Mr. Andreas Stefanids representative of its management team who will be responsible for all the financial and administrative management of the project

Dr Sigal Korem, the director of Ort Braude  Technological College  with Mrs. Sharon Tidhar, the project manager on behalf of  Technological Ort Braude  college in Israel.

And the Albanian representatives: Mr. Bardth Degjonaj the director of Kolin Gjoka  Technological  college in Albania with Mrs. Vjollca Dodaj , the  project manager on behalf of the Albanian college

Last but not least Mr. Stratos Labrinos Vlattas from Medeterannea Web Applications who will serve as our AR leader and technical expert.

At the kick-off meeting, we got to know the project partners, heard about the nature and activities of the partner colleges, looked for launch points, got to know the project management requirements and determined goals and schedules and execution powers for the entire project.

A significant decision made at this meeting is to hold the training camp for lecturers in augmented reality earlier – at July 24 , in order to introduce the issue into the teaching system at the partner colleges already in the coming academic year.

Since this is a right of first mover: both of the college in Greece to lead a project and of the technological college in Israel to participate in this type of project, the kick-off meeting was accompanied by excitement and great anticipation for the future.  We were privileged to get to know a little and to travel, hear about the fascinating history of Albania and enjoy its scenery.
